'Hoppers versus Toadies'

The Dingle Ground was packed with fans. It was the biggest match of the season. Dad's team 'The Hoppers' playing against their biggest rival 'The Toadies.'
'Blackie' the mascot cat was jumping about with excitement on the edge of the pitch. At half time it was 1-1.
'Dad's playing well' I whispered to Mum
Mum nodded her head in agreement but a worried frown crossed her pretty pink forehead. It was the dying moments of the game - it was still 1-1 when 'Froggy Freddy' 'Toadies' best striker raced down the field with the ball towards the 'Hoppers' goal. 'Froggy Freddy' took aim and kicked a belter, the ball hurtled towards Dad. Mum and I were shouting 'C'mon, C'mon Dad'.
Dad was puffing and panting as he leapt into the air ....... and missed ...... the ball landed up in the back of the net.
Final result Toadies 2 - Hoppers 1.

My Dad is proud to be the Local Goalkeeper. Trouble is he's getting a bit past it. The pic of him saving a goal was taken a long while ago now. It was when no one could beat the Dingle Team. Nowadays he's a bit fatter, pants likes a smoking dragon when he runs about the net.
'You're too old to be running about' Mum said
'No, I'm not' he answered.
Soo...... he keeps on playing.
